The module RES402 Research Project II is an important component in the undergraduate programme. It is designed to provide students with the understanding and first-hand experience of carrying out a research project by applying concepts/theories and practice, integrating multiple sources of information from different areas and test their analytical skills. It could be a laboratory, field based or desk-based research which will allow the students to specialize to some extent in a given field of study. It provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their capacity to work independently and produce reports of scientific standards. Considering the importance, 60-credits equivalent to 5 modules is allocated for the module and is a semester long project. It should be the most satisfying piece of work in their degree programme. However, student’s inability to submit the expected result on time may result in not passing the semester.
